The Thursday sittings run past nine, and I sometimes left with a stiff neck from the high desk. I still came back because Mirae would not let a sloppy breakout mark stand.
Eight weeks, mostly about pullbacks
Han Yeseo works a pharmacy shift and joined the October-to-December cohort the year before last, then returned in spring 2026 because her reversal pages were tidy and her pullbacks were not. She lives in Seowon-gu, so the walk to Cheongju-daero was short, which mattered on Thursdays.
In week five Mirae stopped the table and asked Yeseo to set the brass divider on a swing she had described in words but never ticked on the page. The dip she wanted to call a pullback covered a third of that distance. The mark was erased. Yeseo said later that the erasure was the useful part, and that the late hour was the part she would still complain about. She finished the rule sheet. She has not booked a second cohort. She books a private sitting twice a year when a new market leaves her boxes messy.
I brought twelve pages of reversal candles and no note on the session. Mirae handed them back after twenty minutes and told me the sitting could start when the margins said full, ordinary, or thin. I was annoyed. The second half of the hour was the first time my journal looked like the clinic sheet.
The Saturday on breakouts moved faster than I like. I missed two boxes while the room was already on chart six. Nari let me stay with chart four. I finished it. I would not pretend I kept up.
A retired teacher and a brisk Saturday
Choi Eun taught middle-school history and wanted a single day, not eight weeks. The May clinic was breakouts. She liked the rule — close outside a box drawn first — and disliked the pace. The useful residue, in her words, was the permission to leave a chart unfinished rather than invent a mark. She has the clinic sheet on her kitchen table. She has not asked for the full desk, and she said she may never. The studio counts that as a completed visit.
